Vueling (VY)
Vueling Airlines was founded in 2004 in Barcelona as a low-cost carrier focused on affordable short- and medium-haul flights across Europe. It quickly expanded by offering competitive pricing combined with a relatively flexible service model compared to traditional budget airlines.
After merging with Clickair in 2009, Vueling strengthened its position in the Spanish and European market. In 2013, it became part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), alongside Iberia and British Airways.
Today, Vueling is one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, operating a large network of routes primarily from Barcelona and other major European cities, and is known for combining budget fares with a broad choice of destinations and frequent flight options.
