Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the main international airport of the Netherlands, located in Haarlemmermeer, just southwest of Amsterdam. It’s one of Europe’s busiest hubs, handling around 67 million passengers a year, and serves as the primary hub for KLM and several other carriers.
The airport is famous for its one-terminal concept (everything under one roof), six runways, and a railway station directly under the terminal, which offers 24/7 train connections to Amsterdam and other major Dutch and international cities.
Schiphol is also notable for sitting below sea level and for ongoing expansion and renovation works, including new piers and a future additional terminal area.
